January 2022

Wishing I was at the beach…

Today is one of those days I found myself wishing I was at a beach with my toes in the sand, the sun shinning down and a warm breeze. Ahhhh…but here is Wisconsin it is not the case. It is cold. In fact it has been colder here than in Alaska. There is not a lot of snow but it has been in the single digits. Ugh. So I decided to warm up the studio and play with some beachy and waterscape stamp sets and dies.

Some days I find myself challenged, I know I want to stamp and make some cards but I don’t alwyas know what I want to do. Usually I have something in mind. Not today. You may be asking…Well where did you start?

I started by picking colors that just struck me as something I wanted to use: Just Jade, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Misty Moonlight. Then I picked out a couple of stamp sets: Oceanfront, Seas the Day, Gentle Waves and an extra sentiment set I earned for free during Sale-a-Bration, Special Moments.

These are the three cards featured in the FB Live at 645 on January 27,2022. You can watch the replay on my Facebook Business Page- A Beachy Kind of Day

While you are there, please jion the My Stamp Studio group and become part of a Stampin’ Community.

Hump Day Lunch Break- Rainbows and Sunshine Steppin’ it Up!

Are you that person that likes to know where the end of a rainbow is when you see it in the sky? Don’t you get excited when you see a Double Rainbow? I know I do. who couldn’t use a little Sunshine and rainbows in their lives? Today’s lunch break live featured the Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Sale-a-bration paper.

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month between Noon- 1pm central I feature a lunch break live on my Facebook Page. I also upload this video to You Tube. During Sale-a-Bration I do this every Wednesday. It is a fun way to break up the week.

Today I did something a little different. I created one card using the Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Sale-a-bration paper and then stepped it up in two more cards. Yup, we did 3 cards today. Phew, and did it in record time.

The first card started with a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock. Cut the rainbow arches using the Brilliant Rainbow Dies from the Sunshine & Rainbow Designer Series Paper you can earn for free from now until Feb. 28, 2022 or till supplies run out. then next card I added a few more things, the Cloud Punch and the Sparkle and Shine Sequins. Hump Day Lunch Break Live 1.19.22 Valentine’s Treat Box

Today’s Lunch Break Live featured a quick and easy Valentine treat box. While this video and project focused on Valentine’s, you could use for an occasion you are gifting a little sumthin’ sumthin’ This Box also has a tag on the front you can personalize

You can watch the Facebook Live Replay on My Stamp Studio (click). If you are not on facebook, you can watch the video on my You Tube channel or here on the post a little further down.

All the products used are from Stampin’ Up!

I started with a piece of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 6 -1/4″ x 11″ I scored along the 11″ side at 2-5/8″, 5-1/4″, 7-7/8″ and 10-1/2″. I turned the cardstock 90 degrees and scored (on the 6-1/4″side at 2-5/8″. I cut the score lines up to the 2-5/8″ score line to create flaps. I then mitered the two inside flaps to be able to form the box bottom. Using Stampin’ seal + I adhered the tabs together by rolling up the box to assemble it.

I created the tag from a 2-3/8″ x 6-1/4″ piece of Real Red Cardstock, folde this in half so your rag is now 2-3/8″ x 3-3/8″ I then adhered a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of the Sweet Talk Designer Paper and adhered it to the Real Red Tag. Punch from Basic White cardstock a Label Me Lovely punch shape. Stamp XO from the Sweet Conversations Stamp set with Highland Heather Classic Ink. On a strip of Basic White cardstock I stamped Happy Valentine’s Day in Highland Heather Classic Ink, trimmed down the words and added tot he punch shape using Mini dimensionals. Announcing January Class to Go – Sweet Conversations

The first of the Class to Go for 2022 is now open for Registration. Yes, I know it was just Christmas and New Years but most crafters think ahead on what products they need and what project they will make and who will be the lucky recipients.

You can hop over to the Classes and Tutorials page for more information. But here is a sneak peak video I did on Facebook and you Tube.

Check out this other card I made using the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper and one of the new Sale-a-bration stamp sets, Driving By.

Once I started playing with these new products I just couldn’t stop. Over the Holidays, My youngest son was encouraging to making You Tube Shorts. The next card was the one I tested out creating a you Tube short. But they are a challenge. You only have 15 seconds. I can make a card quick but not that quick. I will have to think of some better content I can do in 15 seconds. In the next cards I used two new Sale-a-bration products: Driving By Stamp Set and the Sunshine & Rainbows card stock. These two products are sure to be a hit. They will be available starting January 4, 2022 with a $50 purchase in my Online Store.

here is the you Tube “Short”, let me know what you think. One of my Goals for 2022 is t get 1000 Subscribers on You Tube, so if you haven’t checked out my Channel yet, please do and subscribe to it. This helps be bring Live videos to more people through You Tube as not everyone is on Facebook. I won’t be leaving Facebook, but would like to reach others as well. The second Video is a little longer but it still is pretty quick.
