Resisting Fall Colors

I don’t’ know about you , but one of my most favorite thinga about fall is the changing of the leaves. They go from various colors of green to yellow, orange, red, purple. It is one of the most gorgeous times of the year here in Wisconsin. The fall colors inspired me to use Blackberry Bliss and well if you are going to use that color, you may as well add in Rich Razzelberry and Fresh Freesia. Stampin’ UP!s colors coordinate so well together. And you know that the cardstock, ribbon, inks etc will all match. It’s granimals for adults.

Today’s Hump Day Lunch Break (featured as a FACEBOOK LIVE and them Uploaded to YouTube features the Soft Seedlings Stamp set and the wonderful colors mentioned above.

Here are just a few more card ideas. Staying with the Color Resist Technique, I tried out using Very Vanilla cardstock as well as Basic white cards stock with Soft Succulent and Soft Suede inks. I mounted the card fronts to Evening Evergreen cardstock to given them some depth. This time I changed up the sentiments that were used. I chose the Charming Sentiments and coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes dies. Did you know that you can bundle the two and save 10%? You can check it out in my Online Stampin’ Up! store

Hump Day Lunch Break with the Gnomes!

I tell ya, the stamp set and dies are do much fun and so darn cute. I couldn’t resist making an other cards. And despite the Severe Thunderstorms and Tornado Warnings and alarms- I was able to pull off our lunch break live. It was a little late, but hey had to be stay and make sure my family and a furry child was taken care of.

For this card, I decided to just focus on the Gnome dies. I did add the Harvest dies to give my card some dimension. I though it turned out rather cut having one of the Gnomes hiding behind the greenery. What do you think? I wanted to keep it simple so I used Pear Pizzazz cardstock for my card layer and the Greenery and Grass that was added. While the vibrant colors from the Regal color family does all the work.

Hump Day Lunch Break with My Stamp Studio

Today’s Hump Day Lunch Break was about using one card layout (or sketch) to create mutliple cards by simply swapping out stamp sets. The goal was to feature Stampin’ Up!s beautiful cardstock colors. The colors featured in today’s Live are the same colors that have been posted to the Ink Trail team Color Challenge. Each month, we have a Color Challenge and a Sketch Challenge that we participate in. We make projects using the colors or sketch that have been posted and we share our ideas with each other. If this is something you would be interested, I invite you to join my Ink Trails Team. Would you like to learn more or participate in a team meeting? Please reach out to me and I will send you an invite. October’s Team meeting is in person and a zoom meeting, October 16th at 6:30 pm (central)

now on to our cards…

Our first card uses the colors below: Starry Sky, Parakeet Party and Balmy Blue. And these are the pieces for our card layout. I used the Layering Circle Dies and the Decorative circle punch to cut out the cardstock pieces. You can easily use and punch or die shapes

To showcase our colors and sketch layout, I thought I would be fun to use the Gnomes dies. Did you know that the Kindest Gnomes stamp set and Gnomes dies are the featured products in this months Studio Card Club? You can see more information and register for that class by going to the Studio Card Club page.

We used the same Card layout for the second card and just swtiched out the colors and stamp set. This time I used the Snowman Magic Bundle. (Snowman Magic Stamp set and coordinating Snowman dies). This is such an adorable set. I have had quite a bit of fun making cards using this set. Check out this blog post: for more Snowman Magic Ideas.
