Hump Day Lunch Break- Rainbows and Sunshine Steppin’ it Up!

Are you that person that likes to know where the end of a rainbow is when you see it in the sky? Don’t you get excited when you see a Double Rainbow? I know I do. who couldn’t use a little Sunshine and rainbows in their lives? Today’s lunch break live featured the Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Sale-a-bration paper.

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month between Noon- 1pm central I feature a lunch break live on my Facebook Page. I also upload this video to You Tube. During Sale-a-Bration I do this every Wednesday. It is a fun way to break up the week.

Today I did something a little different. I created one card using the Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Sale-a-bration paper and then stepped it up in two more cards. Yup, we did 3 cards today. Phew, and did it in record time.

The first card started with a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock. Cut the rainbow arches using the Brilliant Rainbow Dies from the Sunshine & Rainbow Designer Series Paper you can earn for free from now until Feb. 28, 2022 or till supplies run out. then next card I added a few more things, the Cloud Punch and the Sparkle and Shine Sequins. All this can be found in the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! All the products used are from Stampin’ Up!

I started with a piece of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 6 -1/4″ x 11″ I scored along the 11″ side at 2-5/8″, 5-1/4″, 7-7/8″ and 10-1/2″. I turned the cardstock 90 degrees and scored (on the 6-1/4″side at 2-5/8″. I cut the score lines up to the 2-5/8″ score line to create flaps. I then mitered the two inside flaps to be able to form the box bottom. Using Stampin’ seal + I adhered the tabs together by rolling up the box to assemble it.

I created the tag from a 2-3/8″ x 6-1/4″ piece of Real Red Cardstock, folde this in half so your rag is now 2-3/8″ x 3-3/8″ I then adhered a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of the Sweet Talk Designer Paper and adhered it to the Real Red Tag. Punch from Basic White cardstock a Label Me Lovely punch shape. Stamp XO from the Sweet Conversations Stamp set with Highland Heather Classic Ink. On a strip of Basic White cardstock I stamped Happy Valentine’s Day in Highland Heather Classic Ink, trimmed down the words and added tot he punch shape using Mini dimensionals. Penguins and Puffins- Hump Day Lunch Break

Today during our Hump Day Lunch Break live on Facebook, I featured the Penguin Place and Patry puffins stamp sets. These sets are so cute. when I first saw them I though, ahhh I can pass these up. But as I started playing with them I realized they were so worth it. Not to mention there is some darling designer paper that coordinates with the Penguin Place stamp set. It is called the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper and is featured in the Sale-a-bration catalog. You can not purchase the DSP, I can’t even purchase it. BUT, you can get it for free with a $50 order in my online store. All week I will be featuring the Penguin Place bundle, and Penguin Playmates paper. Come back again tomorrow for more!

Here are the two stamp sets I used today:

Onto the card… This is a Book Binding Fun Fold card. The finished card size is the same 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ but only a 4 1/4″ flap in front opens. I started with a piece of Pool Party card stock measured at 4 1/4″ x 11″. On the 11″ side I scored at 4″ and 5 1/2″. I then cut a my Designer Paper, Today’s card actually is featuring the Pattern Play Hostess Designer series paper. It is a larg pack fo 12 x 12 paper. One side has bright colors and the other is black and white. You can use this pack of papers for a long time and have a different look with every card. I choose to use the Pool Party dots and the Black and White dotted papers. I cut those at 3 3/4″ x 4″ and 1 1/4″ x 4″. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock a 3 3/4″ x 4″ for the inside. Then on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the images I would fussy cut out.

I stamped the Penguin in Stazon Black, and the Party Puffin in Black Memento Ink. You can use either one, for the video I was just explaining the differences between the inks. I used Pool Party ink to create the hill. you can watch the video here: Penguin and Puffin Too Cool Card. I did use Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana Markets to color the puffin but you could easily use Blender pens and your Stampin Up Classic Ink pads or watercolor pencils.

This is the inside of the card. I used the sentiments from the Party Puffins stamp set and stamped in Pool Party ink. I created the Penguin using the Penguin punch that car be purchased as part of the Penguin Place bundle or individually

I created a second card using the same measurements, cardstock and designer papers. I just changed up using the Penguin Builder Punch and added some Fresh Freesia cardstock. It is so easy to change up the colors for the person you are making the card for. The supplies I used for this card are listed below.
