Today during our Hump Day Lunch Break live on Facebook, I featured the Penguin Place and Patry puffins stamp sets. These sets are so cute. when I first saw them I though, ahhh I can pass these up. But as I started playing with them I realized they were so worth it. Not to mention there is some darling designer paper that coordinates with the Penguin Place stamp set. It is called the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper and is featured in the Sale-a-bration catalog. You can not purchase the DSP, I can’t even purchase it. BUT, you can get it for free with a $50 order in my online store. All week I will be featuring the Penguin Place bundle, and Penguin Playmates paper. Come back again tomorrow for more!

Here are the two stamp sets I used today:

Onto the card… This is a Book Binding Fun Fold card. The finished card size is the same 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ but only a 4 1/4″ flap in front opens. I started with a piece of Pool Party card stock measured at 4 1/4″ x 11″. On the 11″ side I scored at 4″ and 5 1/2″. I then cut a my Designer Paper, Today’s card actually is featuring the Pattern Play Hostess Designer series paper. It is a larg pack fo 12 x 12 paper. One side has bright colors and the other is black and white. You can use this pack of papers for a long time and have a different look with every card. I choose to use the Pool Party dots and the Black and White dotted papers. I cut those at 3 3/4″ x 4″ and 1 1/4″ x 4″. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock a 3 3/4″ x 4″ for the inside. Then on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the images I would fussy cut out.

I stamped the Penguin in Stazon Black, and the Party Puffin in Black Memento Ink. You can use either one, for the video I was just explaining the differences between the inks. I used Pool Party ink to create the hill. you can watch the video here: Penguin and Puffin Too Cool Card. I did use Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana Markets to color the puffin but you could easily use Blender pens and your Stampin Up Classic Ink pads or watercolor pencils.

This is the inside of the card. I used the sentiments from the Party Puffins stamp set and stamped in Pool Party ink. I created the Penguin using the Penguin punch that car be purchased as part of the Penguin Place bundle or individually

I created a second card using the same measurements, cardstock and designer papers. I just changed up using the Penguin Builder Punch and added some Fresh Freesia cardstock. It is so easy to change up the colors for the person you are making the card for. The supplies I used for this card are listed below.
