Getting ready for warm weather and sunshine?

I don’t know about you but come March I am ready for spring and summer. I can’t believe here in Wisconsin we had SNOW the first few days of April. Ok, I lied it is Wisconsin where our weather changes by the minute. In December of January we had a 70degree day. Aaah but enough about that, we can’t control the weather, so may as well roll with the changes. Isn’t that a song?

One thing I love to do when its this time of year and I am tired of Winter and the cold, I create cards that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. That is a good warm feeling, Hot Flashes- not a good warm!

Today I am featuring one of my more favorite Stampin’ Up! Stamps and dies. So many times its hard to image what you can actually create with this bundle. So below are some ideas for you.

You can almost feel the cool refreshing lemonade on this card. I used some of our newer colors to create this card. I used my blending brushes to create a ombre look on the white cardstock. I stamped my images using Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green inks. The layout for this card is pretty simple.

  • Lemon Lolly CS: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
  • Azure Afternoon CS: 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Basic White CS: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″

There is a table of products show below.

This next card I decided to go with a Limeade theme. I used our Subtles Designer Series Paper to really make the Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist stand out. I also colored the ribbon using Stampin’ Up! Blends. I mixed things up by stamping on Soft Seafoam card stock then die cutting the images. it gave the pitcher a little softer look. i like to also add vellum to give the card an additional softness.

Today I pooped on my YouTube channel and did a quick live making this fun fold card. Well it did not turn out as well as I would hav3e liked, but hey sometimes nerves get to us. You will get the gist of the card anyways.

Measurements for the card:

  • Thick Basic White CardstockL 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″4
  • Bubble Bath Cardstock: 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and 5″ x 3″
  • Basic White Card stock: 2 pieces that are 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 2″ x 4-1/8″ and 3/4: x 2-3/4″

Sending Smiles

Who doesn’t need a little pick me up once in a while? While many of us text and email to keep in contact, I truly believe that a handmade card sent in the mail is so much more personal. Send a little surprise to someone’s mailbox. Aren’t you excited when you get something other than junk mail, bills, etc. I am always excited when I get a card- what about you?

Today I am featuring the Sending Smiles Stamp set and coordinating dies from Stampin’ Up! This is also the featured set for todays Hump Day Live. In the US, this stamp set is $22 and the coordinating dies will be on sale April 9th for 40% off. WoooHoo!

Check out these cards!

Hump Day Dinner Break Featuring Sending Smiles

Today’s cards were one designed made simple and then stepped up. I love being able to showcase a stamp set that has coordinating dies, but I know not everyone has a Cut & Emboss machine (yet). So, I like to share how you can still use the stamp set without the dies.

Hump Day Lunch Break- Beary Cute Warm Wishes Card

I have been playing quite a bit with the Beary Cute Stamp set, Punch and coordinating products. Today’s lunch break live features designer paper and ribbon outside of that suite. I love to show how you can mix and match various things and don not necessarily need all the products in a suite if you are not a fan of everything.

Why does Stampin’ Up! offer Suites of products. Well it is there way of helping you find things that coordinate and make it easier to shop by having one item to enter versus adding each individual item.

So back to our Lunch Break… you can watch the replay on YouTube (link below), see a list of products used in today’s card and if you click on the image below you can download a project sheet that contains all the supplies and measurements for the card.

Birthday Card Class Series – Week 2

Welcome to the Week 2 Online Birthday Card Class. This week’s cards are going to focus on using our Designer Series Paper to make our Birthday cards. I selected the Inked Botanicals Designer paper, but you can use any double sided papers.

This was a Facebook Live found on My Stamp Studio Facebook Page, but you can watch the replay on YouTube- see below

We started with 4 pieces of 6″ x 6″ designer series paper (Inked Botanicals) then cut the sheets at one time to create these varied card layouts.
