Penguins and Puffins- Hump Day Lunch Break

Today during our Hump Day Lunch Break live on Facebook, I featured the Penguin Place and Patry puffins stamp sets. These sets are so cute. when I first saw them I though, ahhh I can pass these up. But as I started playing with them I realized they were so worth it. Not to mention there is some darling designer paper that coordinates with the Penguin Place stamp set. It is called the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper and is featured in the Sale-a-bration catalog. You can not purchase the DSP, I can’t even purchase it. BUT, you can get it for free with a $50 order in my online store. All week I will be featuring the Penguin Place bundle, and Penguin Playmates paper. Come back again tomorrow for more!

Here are the two stamp sets I used today:

Onto the card… This is a Book Binding Fun Fold card. The finished card size is the same 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ but only a 4 1/4″ flap in front opens. I started with a piece of Pool Party card stock measured at 4 1/4″ x 11″. On the 11″ side I scored at 4″ and 5 1/2″. I then cut a my Designer Paper, Today’s card actually is featuring the Pattern Play Hostess Designer series paper. It is a larg pack fo 12 x 12 paper. One side has bright colors and the other is black and white. You can use this pack of papers for a long time and have a different look with every card. I choose to use the Pool Party dots and the Black and White dotted papers. I cut those at 3 3/4″ x 4″ and 1 1/4″ x 4″. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock a 3 3/4″ x 4″ for the inside. Then on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the images I would fussy cut out.

I stamped the Penguin in Stazon Black, and the Party Puffin in Black Memento Ink. You can use either one, for the video I was just explaining the differences between the inks. I used Pool Party ink to create the hill. you can watch the video here: Penguin and Puffin Too Cool Card. I did use Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana Markets to color the puffin but you could easily use Blender pens and your Stampin Up Classic Ink pads or watercolor pencils.

This is the inside of the card. I used the sentiments from the Party Puffins stamp set and stamped in Pool Party ink. I created the Penguin using the Penguin punch that car be purchased as part of the Penguin Place bundle or individually

I created a second card using the same measurements, cardstock and designer papers. I just changed up using the Penguin Builder Punch and added some Fresh Freesia cardstock. It is so easy to change up the colors for the person you are making the card for. The supplies I used for this card are listed below.

Sparkles, Dazzles, and Bling

It’s week 4 of Sale-a-bration and this week I will be featuring the Be Dazzled Specialty paper you can get for free. Earlier this month I attended an Online Creative Convention and this was one of our Make and Take projects. I actually changed it up just slightly so I could add in the Be Dazzled Specialty paper. I really like how this card turned out.

Today’s card is a quick one using a variety of products from the July – December Mini Catalog. I love the Intricate Leaves dies, you can even use dies with the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper it just adds the finishing touch. There are eight sheets of 6″ x 6″ paper in each pack which will make a lot of cards. You can get it fro free when you purchase $50 in my Online Store .

Sparkle of the Season Fall Card

I started with Misty Moonlight as my card base cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/”. I then ran a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock measured at 5 1/4″ x 4″ through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Timber 3D embossing folder. The texture and look is just amazing on this card. I stamped the circle image using Misty Moonlight ink onto a Sahara Sand label that was die cut from the Seasonal labels dies. I added a strip of designer paper to the center of the card. I used the Intricate Leaves Dies and cut them from Kraft 6″ x 6″ paper and the Be Dazzling Specialty paper. I adhered these using glue dots and added a Black and White Gingham bow. To finish off the card I added some Champagne Rhinestones I had laying around. For the inside, I took one of the extra leaves that I had die cut an adhered inside on Basic White Cardstock. All the products are listed below. Free PDF download: Sparkle of the Season Fall Card

Beautifully Penned Designer Paper

Tonight’s Live a 645 Facebook Live (8/5/21) we featured 3 different cards using the Beautifully Penned Designer Paper. You can watch the event here or scroll further down for the short clips of each card on You Tube.

Beautifully Penned Nature’s Harvest card. This card featured a Spotlight technique along with the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, Beautifully Penned DSP and combines it with the Layering Circles and Border Basic dies to make this simple but elegant card. To feature the designer paper I used the Basic Border dies to create a focal point. I then layered the card base and with the cardstock layers. I stamped the Floral image using Memento Tuxedo Black on to the Basic White Cardstock and cardstock scrap. I colored the scrap piece using Stampin’ Blends. I just love how smooth the Stampni’ Blends color without an streaks. The images turn out awesome. I then used a layering circle die to cut out portion of the color image to “pop” off my focal image with a dimensional. To finish off the card I added some of the New White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (try say that one time really fast!) and a sweet Bumblebee Trinket. Watch the short video version below. Beautifully Penned Love You Card

The second card featured in today’s Facebook Live at 645 combined the Beautifully Penned Designer Paper and Harvest Dies to make a stunning card. I wanted to use a different color combination so I chose Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Basic Black. For a Sentiment I grabbed the Create with Friends stamp set which worked out well. A little embossing, a little flicking of a Stampin’ Write marker and TAHDAH a finished card. It was a quick card and easy card to make. Here is a free PDF for this card. Beautifully Penned Sweet Strawberry Card

I wanted to use some products you may already have on hand to show how this Beautifully Penned Designer Paper will work with any stamp set. I paired it up with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle to make a quick and easy card. You will love that you can see both sides of the designer paper with this card layout. I added some Polished Pink Ribbon and finished it off with the Shaker Shapes as embellishments. During August and September 2021 I will be focusing on a product from our Sale-a-bration items and paring that with products in our July-December Mini Catalog and our Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Check out the video below. Make sure to subscribe to my You Tube channel so you can see all of my videos. Here is a Beautifully Penned Sweet Strawberry Card PDF for you with all the details needed to make this sweet card.

Snailed It Again on Friday Night

I felt bad that I had to miss my facebook live with everyone last night. I did put a video out there so you did have something to see, but I missed connecting with all of you. So, tonight I did a little extra live with a bonus. A Free tutorial to tonight’s card. I wanted to say Thanks for being there for me and I wanted to give you all a little something back. Here is the front of the card. I had so much fun making this with all of you. And you know that these colors make me happy. (But, I think I may have a new favorite color…Stampin’ Up!s new 2021-2023 In Colors are fabulous I must say. Make sure to check out my Catalog Launch Party Friday May7,2021 at 7pm central.

Ok back to this card. It look like it takes a lot of time to make but really it does not. My style of stamping is Simple To Stylish with out taking hours to create. Here is the inside of the card, I used the small Snail and cut out with the die cut. notice that the You’ve Got Mail sentiment is not there. That’s right the die will just cut the snail for you! Howe awesome is that. I added the envelope on a whim as I wanted to share some of the other things in the Dies. There are 13 dies that coordinate and complement this stamp set. I used various blends to color the images but you could use markers, ink pads with blender pens, watercolor pencils… As promised, here is the Free HELLO SNAIL CARD PDF.

The supplied used for this card are listed below. Note you do not have to purchase the Stamp Set and Dies as a Bundle, you can just order the Stamp set itself it is item 154472 You can click on any of my images to go to my Online Store.
