Resisting Fall Colors

I don’t’ know about you , but one of my most favorite thinga about fall is the changing of the leaves. They go from various colors of green to yellow, orange, red, purple. It is one of the most gorgeous times of the year here in Wisconsin. The fall colors inspired me to use Blackberry Bliss and well if you are going to use that color, you may as well add in Rich Razzelberry and Fresh Freesia. Stampin’ UP!s colors coordinate so well together. And you know that the cardstock, ribbon, inks etc will all match. It’s granimals for adults.

Today’s Hump Day Lunch Break (featured as a FACEBOOK LIVE and them Uploaded to YouTube features the Soft Seedlings Stamp set and the wonderful colors mentioned above.

Here are just a few more card ideas. Staying with the Color Resist Technique, I tried out using Very Vanilla cardstock as well as Basic white cards stock with Soft Succulent and Soft Suede inks. I mounted the card fronts to Evening Evergreen cardstock to given them some depth. This time I changed up the sentiments that were used. I chose the Charming Sentiments and coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes dies. Did you know that you can bundle the two and save 10%? You can check it out in my Online Stampin’ Up! store

Hump Day Lunch Break – Using Designer Series Paper Scraps

Do you ever wonder what to do with those leftover pieces of Designer Series Paper? I mean they are too pretty to just toss out right? Well, stop saving those scraps and start using them. Today’s Hump Day lunch break share quick and easy card and uses some leftover papers. Check out the video below- and make sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel to see all of the crafting videos!

My Original design was a Halloween themed card using the Witch Builder punch, but so sad that the punch is no longer available and won’t be returning…

It’s a good thing I had some other scraps handy. I decided with the Cottage Wreath bundle.

Hump Day Lunch Break with My Stamp Studio

Today’s Hump Day Lunch Break was about using one card layout (or sketch) to create mutliple cards by simply swapping out stamp sets. The goal was to feature Stampin’ Up!s beautiful cardstock colors. The colors featured in today’s Live are the same colors that have been posted to the Ink Trail team Color Challenge. Each month, we have a Color Challenge and a Sketch Challenge that we participate in. We make projects using the colors or sketch that have been posted and we share our ideas with each other. If this is something you would be interested, I invite you to join my Ink Trails Team. Would you like to learn more or participate in a team meeting? Please reach out to me and I will send you an invite. October’s Team meeting is in person and a zoom meeting, October 16th at 6:30 pm (central)

now on to our cards…

Our first card uses the colors below: Starry Sky, Parakeet Party and Balmy Blue. And these are the pieces for our card layout. I used the Layering Circle Dies and the Decorative circle punch to cut out the cardstock pieces. You can easily use and punch or die shapes

To showcase our colors and sketch layout, I thought I would be fun to use the Gnomes dies. Did you know that the Kindest Gnomes stamp set and Gnomes dies are the featured products in this months Studio Card Club? You can see more information and register for that class by going to the Studio Card Club page.

We used the same Card layout for the second card and just swtiched out the colors and stamp set. This time I used the Snowman Magic Bundle. (Snowman Magic Stamp set and coordinating Snowman dies). This is such an adorable set. I have had quite a bit of fun making cards using this set. Check out this blog post: for more Snowman Magic Ideas.

Hump Day Dinner Break

Today I had to change up our normal Hump Day Lunch Break live to a Dinner Break Live. Sometimes, life just interrupts our plans but I had this cute card I couldn’t wait to share with you. It use the Bewitched Bundle and is a Fun Fold that i really quick and easy to make.

To create this card I started with a piece of 8-12″ x 5-1/2″ Gorgeous Grape card stock. I scored it at 2″, 4″, 6″ 8″ on the 8-1/2″ side. I then formed the opened ended box. Check out the video to see how I adhered shut. I had two strips of Black & White Designer Paper that measured 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″. I adhered these to the front panels. Using the Stylish shape (Circle) dies I have one in Highland Heather and the second circles lightly smaller in Basic White. I used Gorgeous Grape and stamped or using the Alphabest stamp set. On a scrap piece of basic white. I stamped the Witches hat and punched out using the hat builder punch. From basic white scraps measuring 3/4″ x 1-1/2″ I stamped Trick and Treat using Gorgeous Grape Ink. To finish off the card,

I used the Glossy Gems embellishments to ad a little glimmer and shine to the card. All products can be found in my online store by clicking anyone of the images below, or click HERE

Christmas Card Class Series- Part 1 Christmas Scotties

Scroll down for details on how to get this class kit for free!

The Christmas Card Class Series has kicked off! I just love the Holiday season! While I am not quite ready to say good by to summer, I know that the Holidays will be here before I know if. This year, I want to be well prepared and start my Holiday projects now so come Thanksgiving I am ready to get things mailed. Yes I know that is a well thought out plan- now to make sure I implement it!

It’s funny as a little kid, I was frightened of dogs, but now I just love them. I am a proud doggie mom. yup our little man Cooper (well he is 70 lbs of little) is a joy in our lives. Yes, he can be a handful, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. My hubby calls him a Momma’s boy. Although he is excited for any family member to walk in the door. And well, he can not hold his licker. so if you love doggie smooches he is the pup to visit. I’ll find some pictures to share later on.

Anyways, on to our cards…

here is the class video, feel free to watch or scroll down to the card photos.

Festive Scottie Card

The first card features the Celebrate Everything Designer Paper. But you could use ANY designer paper you have and make it any theme. Did you notice the Wonderful Snowflake accent on the card? It is an iridescent snowflake and can be used on all sorts of cards. In fact, I used them on all 3 cards. On this card I used both the punch and the stamped Scottie image. When I stamped the Scottie on the inside, I used Stazon Jet Black ink. Watch the video for details and tips on using Stazon Ink and cleaning tips.

Furry and Bright Holiday Card

Our second card is a bit of a fun fold. Very similar to the Book binding or Matchbook Style cards you may have seen. I was inspired by Lisa McGrew that I has been in a card swap with. I once again used the Celebrate Everything Designer Paper. I also used the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder from the July – December Mini Catalog or as I refer to is as the Holiday Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Try to say Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder really fast. It’s almost a tongue twister. I finished off the card with Red Rhinestones and Real Red Ribbon. I also decided I wanted the inside to be different from most cards. Instead of using a piece of Basic White layer, I punched out a Decorative circle, stamped my sentiment in Real Red then added on of the Wonderful Snowflakes. For his collar, I used an Real Red marker to color it in.

Christmas Scottie Fun Flap Card

Last but definitely not least… a Fun Flap card. I received this card in a swap as well, but I lost the person’s information that created it so I can not give her credit, I do apologize. I changed it up by adding a Wonderful Snowflake, using the Whimsical Woodland 3d Embossing folder and adding silver foil and Basic Rhinestone jewels. This card features the Gingham Cottage Designer paper that coordinates with the Gingham Cottage Suite found in the July – December Mini Catalog on page 58-59.

Gingham Cottage Suite from Stampin’ Up! click on the picture above to see the details in my Online Store

I also tried out using some different colors…check out the Garden Green Version
