Hump Day Lunch Break- Rainbows and Sunshine Steppin’ it Up!

Are you that person that likes to know where the end of a rainbow is when you see it in the sky? Don’t you get excited when you see a Double Rainbow? I know I do. who couldn’t use a little Sunshine and rainbows in their lives? Today’s lunch break live featured the Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Sale-a-bration paper.

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month between Noon- 1pm central I feature a lunch break live on my Facebook Page. I also upload this video to You Tube. During Sale-a-Bration I do this every Wednesday. It is a fun way to break up the week.

Today I did something a little different. I created one card using the Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Sale-a-bration paper and then stepped it up in two more cards. Yup, we did 3 cards today. Phew, and did it in record time.

The first card started with a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock. Cut the rainbow arches using the Brilliant Rainbow Dies from the Sunshine & Rainbow Designer Series Paper you can earn for free from now until Feb. 28, 2022 or till supplies run out. then next card I added a few more things, the Cloud Punch and the Sparkle and Shine Sequins. All this can be found in the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Beautifully Penned Designer Paper

Tonight’s Live a 645 Facebook Live (8/5/21) we featured 3 different cards using the Beautifully Penned Designer Paper. You can watch the event here or scroll further down for the short clips of each card on You Tube.

Beautifully Penned Nature’s Harvest card. This card featured a Spotlight technique along with the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, Beautifully Penned DSP and combines it with the Layering Circles and Border Basic dies to make this simple but elegant card. To feature the designer paper I used the Basic Border dies to create a focal point. I then layered the card base and with the cardstock layers. I stamped the Floral image using Memento Tuxedo Black on to the Basic White Cardstock and cardstock scrap. I colored the scrap piece using Stampin’ Blends. I just love how smooth the Stampni’ Blends color without an streaks. The images turn out awesome. I then used a layering circle die to cut out portion of the color image to “pop” off my focal image with a dimensional. To finish off the card I added some of the New White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (try say that one time really fast!) and a sweet Bumblebee Trinket. Watch the short video version below. Beautifully Penned Love You Card

The second card featured in today’s Facebook Live at 645 combined the Beautifully Penned Designer Paper and Harvest Dies to make a stunning card. I wanted to use a different color combination so I chose Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Basic Black. For a Sentiment I grabbed the Create with Friends stamp set which worked out well. A little embossing, a little flicking of a Stampin’ Write marker and TAHDAH a finished card. It was a quick card and easy card to make. Here is a free PDF for this card. Beautifully Penned Sweet Strawberry Card

I wanted to use some products you may already have on hand to show how this Beautifully Penned Designer Paper will work with any stamp set. I paired it up with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle to make a quick and easy card. You will love that you can see both sides of the designer paper with this card layout. I added some Polished Pink Ribbon and finished it off with the Shaker Shapes as embellishments. During August and September 2021 I will be focusing on a product from our Sale-a-bration items and paring that with products in our July-December Mini Catalog and our Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Check out the video below. Make sure to subscribe to my You Tube channel so you can see all of my videos. Here is a Beautifully Penned Sweet Strawberry Card PDF for you with all the details needed to make this sweet card.

SALE a-bration is in full gear with the Corner Bouquet

I don’t know about you , but I am done with winter. Unfortunately, we have a couple more months of it. Oh well, winters give all of us crafters more time to play. All last week I was playing around with the new Corner Bouquet Stamp Set. You can get this amazing stamp set for FREE, yes free. Any time you spend $50 in my online store you can pick from several different stamp sets and Designer paper and get it for free. This is one of the best times in the Stampin’ Up year, I mean who can pass up free right? In my Hump Day Lunch break facebook live on January 6, 2021, I shared this awesome and easy card.

The fun part of this card was using the new blending brushes. The brush gives that added color and softness to the card and it is so easy to use and clean. If you haven’t already tried one out, you need to. Adding the rhinestones to this card gave it the finishing touches it needed. The Corner Bouquet stamp set is so easy to make cards with. You can leave it a one color or use markers to add more color.

  • Granny Apple Green Card stock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Mango Melody card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Basic White card stock: 5″ x 3 3/4″

Here is another card I made using the Corner Bouquet. It was quick, easy and used just a few products. Someone asked me about making some quick sympathy cards on short notice and this is one I came up on the fly. I used use Basic White and Early Espresso Card stock, Early Espresso ink and added in a die cut shape with a little bit of Faux Suede ribbon. If you don’t have ribbon, use a strip of card stock, it adds the same flair.

I stepped up that same card by adding some Designer Paper from the SALE a-bration products called Paper Blooms. I love this paper and can’t wait to make more cards and projects with it. For this card, I used Sahara Sand ink on Basic white cardstock and then used the same image on the designer paper using Mossy Meadow ink. This split card is super easy to make. I do like using dies and punches when I can on my cards, but with this layout you don’t need to.

Tomorrow I will be posting how to use this same stamp set with Stampin’ Write Markers to give your cards a little extra color. See you then!
